Hendi Center Koloseum organized a celebration on 8th March 2008 for women with disabilities.
International Women's Day, the day dedicated to women and it’s celebrated each year on March 8. This day was created as a day of struggle for economic, political and social equality of women and men.
As International Women's Day, March 8th (for the first time a specific date), was adopted in 1917. The United Nations declared 1975 as the International Year of women and officially began to celebrate International Women's Day.
On the basis of equality women with disabilities also celebrate this day and central event is organized by Hendi Center Coloseum. With appropriate cultural-artistic program each year is awarded to the most successful women with disabilities. It is emphasized its contribution to improving the situation of women with disabilities and activism in society and the local community.
