In Dom sindikata was held from 28 to 30 May 2010. First Intenational Film Festival for and by people with disabilities, organized by Hendi Center "Coloseum".
Hendi Coliseum for seven years successfully organizes BOSIFEST - Belgrade International Film Festival for and by people with disabilities. BOSIFEST is not a festival for people with disabilities but festival from persons with disabilities for all film lovers, who organize special moments to all visitors.
Every year the festival announce competition in which films come from all over the world. Selectors os BOSIFEST are young directors and for the jury of BOSIFEST we choose the recognized representatives of the arts.
Through the films that are shown on BOSIFEST the audience has a chance to become acquainted with different cultures, customs, social circumstances and various life stories.
Festival provides a valuable contribution to the inclusion of persons with disabilities in creative reality of our society for artistic and other resources at their disposal. In addition to the artistic content production BOSIFEST wants through exchange of information, encourage the adoption and implementation of successful practices of the international community institutions in overcoming social inclusion, point out possible directions and instruments to encourage the further development of democratic society and every individual with respect for diversity through individual rights .
Festival promotes the City of Belgrade and Serbia through the richness of diversity and is committed to encouraging our cultural and professional public to learn about the accomplishments of artists with disabilities from around the world, as well as to create conditions for the exchange of opinions and experiences of filmmakers.
BOSIFEST is the only film festival of its kind in Southeast Europe. BOISFEST , thanks to cooperation with NGO "New Chance in New", appeared in Montenegro in Herceg Novi, and it is planned to be continued cooperation with famous Montenegrian film festival in Herceg Novi.
Founder of BOSIFEST is non-governmental organization Hendi Center Coloseum. President of Hendi Center Coloseum is Darko Ivic, who is also the director of the Belgrade International Film Festival for and by People with Disabilities- BOSIFEST. Hendi Center Coloseum was founded in October 2009. and it is working towards the objectives in the development and improvement of the situation of persons with disabilities and their integration in all spheres of society.
With his activities, Hendi Center Coloseum wants to achieve the vision of a more just society and equal treatment of people with disabilities. Hendi Center Coloseum founded the first service of psychosocial support and personal assistance for people with disabilities.
