On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, on Ada Ciganlija held event called "Sport, culture and people with disabilities", organized by PC "Ada Ciganlija" and organizations Hendi Center Coloseum.

The event was aimed to highlight the need of increasing the integration persons with disabilities in everyday life flows, primarily in the sphere of sport and culture, since people with disabilities traditionally achieved outstanding results in these areas. In the event, organized by the Association of Art and Media - help for young people and health, and is prepared to show the best films from the Belgrade International festival of sports films, which are the subject of persons with disabilities in sport.

- Today's events was organized to raise public awareness about the specific needs of people with disabilities, but also what individuals, the state and society as a whole can do to improve the situation of these people - said Darko Ivic, President of the Advisory Body for Persons with Disabilities in cabinet mayor.

From PC "Ada Ciganlija" says that the action of this type is only one of many steps we take this company to create an inclusive society, as evidenced by the recent participation of enterprises in the second conference of accessible tourism.

- Ada Ciganlija is largely adapted for people with disabilities. Only during this year's done more access footpaths and ramps, new parking spaces for motor vehicles for persons with disabilities, access sports facilities, as well as a sports center for people with disabilities, the only one of its kind in our country,on what we are especially proud - said Zoran Gajic, director of CP "Ada Ciganlija", and added that this public company in the future will continue to adapt its content to all of Belgrade.
