Accessibility - Persons with disabilities easier access to documents

At the counters of police stations Novi Beograd, Rakovica, Vozdovac and Stari Grad, persons with special needs, in the future, every first and third Saturday of the month from 8 to 20 hours will be able to remove and replace their identity documents.
Customer service at these police stations from this Saturday will be available only to persons with disabilities. This benefit is a result of the arrangement of the Advisory Body of persons with disabilities in the Office of the Mayor of Belgrade and the Serbian Interior Ministry.
- Police stations in the municipalities of Novi Beograd, Rakovica, Vozdovac and the Stari Grad were selected because they provide adequate access for the disabled. Of course, and people with special needs with other municipalities can come to these four police stations and complete their work. This convenience means a lot to us because we had a lot of problems when we removing personal documents - said Darko Ivic, President Hendi Center Coloseum.
Head of the Office for Cooperation with the media MIA Serbia Suzana Vasiljevic said that the police are very happy to facilitate the implementation of this action. In that sense, the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the city of Belgrade, ordered police stations Novi Beograd, Rakovica, Vozdovac and the Stari Grad that every first and third Saturday of the month addressed the requirements for the issuance of identity documents and other administrative tasks within the competence of our ministry exclusively for people with special needs. MIA will do anything to these people making daily life - said Suzana Vasiljevic.
